Kangeiko 2011

On 2nd January 2011, for the seventh time we greeted the New Year with a session on the beach in St Andrews. Ten kendoka from StAKC, Yugenkai and EKC attended as well as one kendo dog and a few supportive friends and family members.

The conditions were again slightly different. The air was milder than last year but the water was much colder than previously encountered because of the unusually long and cold winter weather from the end of November onwards.

After a quick shower at St Leonards, we retired to the pub. - The Whey Pat was closed this year, so we raised the revenue for Drouthy Neebour’s by 100%.
