Beginners

We cannot accept beginners ad hoc, but instead run a number of specific courses each year. This ensures beginners receive dedicated tuition within a group at the same level.

Advanced Players

St Andrews membership fees are paid by standing order of £20 per calendar month (£12 concessions*). This provides access to two weekly kendo training sessions in St Andrews.

Please ask the dojo leader for permission if you want to wear a St Andrews zekken.

You must have current BKA membership to train at St Andrews Kendo Club.

Guests

If you are a member of another Kendo club or federation visiting the area, you are always welcome to visit and to practise with us at no charge. Where and when are detailed on our training page.

Membership rights in Edinburgh

Our members have some rights as affiliated members of Edinburgh Kendo Club. Please ask the secretary or dojo leader for further information.

* concessions are school pupils, students, unemployed and retired.
